To make a day of it

Château de Combefa stands in Combefa (Tarn), in the Occitanie region of France. No visits are on record for this building.

Perched on a rocky spur 80 metres above the Zère stream, the ruins of Combefa castle recall a fortress built by the bishops of Albi around 1270. Used as a summer residence by the prelates and fought over during the Hundred Years' War, it was gradually dismantled in the 18th century by royal order. Substantial remains survive today, including partly levelled towers and former stables below the site.
