What the French Ministry of Culture records
Le château est une maison forte en briques remontant au 16e s. Différents propriétaires se succèdent à la tête du domaine : la famille de Monluc, les familles du Puy au 17e s. Puis par mariage les Bridiez de Villemor. Lors du siège de Monheurt en 1621, Louis XIII et le connétable de Luynes y séjournèrent. Ce dernier y mourut le 15 décembre.
