What the French Ministry of Culture records

Commencé en 1765 pour Emmanuel Armand Duplessis-Richelieu, duc d'Aiguillon, sur les plan de l'architecte Leroy, le château n'a jamais été achevé. Il ne comprend qu'une partie du bâtiment principal et l'aile gauche de la cour d'honneur. L'aile droite n'a jamais été exécutée. Les façades sont percées de baies rectangulaires encadrées de chambranles moulurés. Les trumeaux portent une table saillante. Le fronton de la façade postérieure est décoré d'un groupe sculpté par Roger, figurant le Lot et la Garonne. L'intérieur fut dévasté en 1792.
