Château Bijou stands in Labastide-Villefranche (Pyrénées-Atlantiques), in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. What the French Ministry of Culture records

Le domaine fut entièrement remodelé et transformé de 1913 à 1924. Le paysagiste Jules Vacherot réalisa d'abord la partie régulière disposée de part et d'autre du château : cour d'honneur et boulingrins du côté principal, parterre et pièces d'eau de l'autre côté, ainsi que la grande descente vers le lac. Assisté de l'architecte paysager André Riousse, il remania plusieurs fois le projet initial, en travaillant avec Régin, l'architecte chargé de transformer la villa. L'achat d'oeuvres et d'éléments anciens par la propriétaire, entraîna la construction par Régin d'un cloître roman, fermant la perspective du grand parterre sud-est. Au bord du lac fut édifié un embarcadère à colonnes et, de l'autre côté de la route menant de Bayonne à Oloron, détournée par Mme Combe, furent construits communs, orangerie et serres, et aménagés un potager et des pépinières. De nouvelles extensions accueillirent la zone paysagère et une nouvelle structure régulière cruciforme : la descente fleurie, prolongée par le jardin hispano-mauresque et la longue allée de charmilles. Après la guerre, le déclin de la propriété s'accentua. La villa fut dépecée et incendiée, et le parc laissé à l'abandon.
