In Niedernai, the Landsberg castle stands on a site occupied since the second half of the 13th century, remaining in the same family until 2007. The complex combines a medieval keep, a reworked Renaissance residence and an Empire style building added in the 19th century by architect Albert Haas, making it a notable example of a composite estate blending several architectural periods. Visitors can also see the Stork Tower, a neo-Gothic enclosure bearing the family coat of arms, and outbuildings built in the late 19th century by the architect Jehu of Strasbourg.
