What the French Ministry of Culture records

En 1650, le fief fut érigé en châtellenie. En 1667, le domaine fut érigé en duché en faveur de Louise de la Baume le Blanc, maîtresse de Louis XIV. La porte en berceau a conservé sa triple rangée de corbeaux qui formaient les mâchicoulis du chemin de ronde. Elle est encadrée de deux tours rondes. Celle de gauche est une ancienne fuye, aménagée en chapelle au 19e siècle. Après le château se trouve un mur du 18e siècle, relié à un bâtiment du 17e siècle qui ferme la cour d'honneur au nord. La seconde cour est fermée au nord par un bâtiment de servitude du 17e siècle. Après la porte d'entrée se trouve la grange.
