The manor of Montfort stands at the top of a hillside overlooking Chançay, in the Indre-et-Loire region. Built in the second half of the 16th century, this former fief of the Chançay parish retains its defensive layout around a rectangular courtyard, flanked by pavilions, turrets and a round tower pierced with gun loops. Once surrounded by a moat, the whole complex still shows its fortified character in the facades and the crenellated enclosing wall.
