What the French Ministry of Culture records
Ancien fief relevant du château de Tours, du fief des Grandes Brosses, de celui de Mettray et d'autres pour diverses parties. Le manoir, dont la date de 1720 est gravée sur l'une des portes, serait dû à René Le Gras, inspecteur des fermes générales et seigneur de la Chassetière. Il est constitué par un bâtiment rectangulaire se développant entre deux pavillons non saillants sur les façades. Il est prolongé au nord par un bâtiment de servitudes occupé par la cuisine et les communs. Un pavillon construit au 19e siècle a été ajouté au sud, à l'alignement du manoir. La façade Est est précédée d'une cour d'honneur limitée au sud par un second bâtiment de servitudes datant du 18e siècle. A l'ouest, un jardin à la française sépare le manoir d'un parc boisé.
