Château de Kergroadès stands in Brélès (Finistère), in the Bretagne region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: first quarter of the 17th century, first quarter of the 20th century). What the French Ministry of Culture records
Le château de Kergroadès a été construit entre 1602 et 1613, selon un plan inspiré de celui du château de Kerjean, construit quelques quarante ans plus tôt : il est constitué par trois ailes disposées en U autour d'une cour fermée par une galerie, avec quatre pavillons aux angles. Si la distribution interne s'inspire également de celle de Kerjean, l'architecture s'en distingue par sa sévérité. Resté dans la famille de Kergroadès jusqu'en 1732, le château n'a subi aucune modification sous l'Ancien Régime. La propriété a été mise sous séquestre à la fin du 18e siècle, ce qui a provoqué la liquidation des portes, fenêtres, et de la charpente en 1807. Racheté par la famille Chevillotte à l'état de ruine, il a été restauré en 1913-1914 : la charpente, la toiture, toutes les menuiseries et aménagements intérieurs ont été entièrement refaits ab nihilo. Les maçonneries semblent cependant n'avoir subi aucune modification.
