Cet édifice est un bel exemple de petit manoir fortifié du nord Finistère des 15e et 16e siècles, n'ayant pratiquement pas subi de transformation, hormis les croisillons de fenêtres enlevés. Le portail d'entrée a été en partie démantelé. L'escalier et l'aile nord ont perdu leur couverture. Deux époques de construction se démarquent. La première époque se caractérise par une construction défensive et englobe le portail avec ses mâchicoulis et sa tour carrée d'esclier, prolongé vers le nord par une défense constituée d'un mur de gros moëllons de granit. La tour ronde d'escalier et l'aile en retour de l'habitation principale datent également de cette première époque. La seconde étape se caractérise par plus de finesse et un souci du confort. Elle comprend la plus grande partie du bâtiment principal, une partie des communs, l'enclos Est avec la chapelle et le moulin à eau.
