Château de Kervéatoux stands in Plouarzel (Finistère), in the Bretagne region of France. What the French Ministry of Culture records

La construction du manoir primitif, selon un plan en L, peut remonter au 15e siècle. Premier agrandissement au 17e siècle, puis transformation en ferme. L'aile Est devient une étable. Dans les années 1850, travaux de remise en état, l'ensemble est transformé en château, de plan irrégulier disposé en U autour d'une cour centrale. La transformation aurait été confiée à l'architecte Bernier. Les différents corps de bâtiments, avec tours et pavillons, gardent une unité grâce à une ornementation architecturale inspirée du 15e siècle. La distribution et le décor intérieurs datent de ce remaniement, avec remploi d'éléments (panneaux de bois sculptés, panneaux sculptés polychromes du 17e siècle). Les communs sont organisés autour d'une vaste cour. Au nord du château, les jardins en terrasses suivent une composition axiale à partir d'un premier jardin d'agrément et de son bassin central. La première terrasse contient le potager, la seconde le verger. Le parc paysager conserve le tracé d'anciennes allées d'arrivée au château. Ce château est un bel exemple de restauration homogène réalisée dans les années 1880, de style néogothique.
