To make a day of it

Château de Kéran stands in Arradon (Morbihan), in the Bretagne region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 15th century, 16th century, 17th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.

At Arradon, close to the shores of the Gulf of Morbihan, the château de Kéran retains a tower and a barn dating from the 15th century, around which a manor house took shape over the following centuries. Several building periods can be traced here: medieval remnants, an early 17th-century extension carried out under Jérôme d'Arradon, and an Empire-style pavilion raised in the park in the early 19th century. Originally the seat of the d'Arradon family, the estate later passed through several hands, including the Gouté de Gudanas and Laporte families.
