To make a day of it

Château de Porcé stands in Arradon (Morbihan), in the Bretagne region of France. No visits are on record for this building.

At Arradon, in the hamlet of Porcé, what remains tells more the story of an estate than of a standing château: the building erected in 1885 for the Marquis de La Révellière was destroyed by German troops in 1944. An earlier manor house, recorded as far back as 1443, once stood on the same grounds. Today the farm, the dovecote and the chapel, rebuilt in 1911, survive as traces of the former seigneurial and agricultural complex. The site is listed in the general inventory of cultural heritage.
