In Sarzeau, in the Morbihan, the Château de Kerlevénan has stood since 1780, built by architect Jacques-François Jouanne for the Gouvello family. Its grounds combine an unfinished French-style garden with an English-style garden laid out in the 19th century, along with two surviving garden features: the Chinese pavilion and the former Temple of Love, later converted into a chapel. The dining rooms and boudoir retain their original decoration, while the façades reflect 18th-century classical style.
