Château de Francs stands in Francs (Gironde), in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. No visits are on record for this building.
The château de Francs stands at the eastern edge of the Gironde, surrounded by 40 hectares of vines grown on limestone-clay soils similar to those of Saint-Émilion. Partly built in the Middle Ages, it served as an Anglo-Aquitanian stronghold until the battle of Castillon in 1453, under the guard of the Ségur family. Bought by two childhood friends, Dominique Hébrard and Hubert de Bouard, both linked to well-known Bordeaux estates, the property now combines its historic structure with wine production under the francs-côtes-de-bordeaux appellation.
