What the French Ministry of Culture records
La seigneurie, mentionnée depuis le 13e siècle, dépendait du château de Courtalain. L'édifice actuel est édifié sur une plateforme entourée de douves, qui remonte aux 15e-16e siècles, et dont ne subsistent que deux tours adossées aux communs et au corps de logis principal. La formule des travées, avec jambes harpées montant de fond et encadrant des baies et trumeaux, est fréquemment utilisée depuis le milieu du 16e siècle. Les lignes verticales, les jambes harpées et les travées étroites sont typiques du début du 17e siècle ou de la fin du 16e. Quelques modifications ont eu lieu au 19e siècle.
