What the French Ministry of Culture records
L'origine du domaine remonte au 11e siècle. En 1070 il est donné à l'abbaye de Noyers. Au 14e siècle le château est construit sur un plan peu modifié jusqu'à nos jours. Au 17e siècle, l'édifice acquiert son aspect actuel. Communs et portail sont élevés à la même époque. Le château subit d'importants remaniements avec l'aménagement d'autres cheminées, et la modification des ouvertures. Un bâtiment de liaison est construit entre le donjon et la partie nord-ouest, et un escalier à balustres y est aménagé. Au 18e siècle est agrandie l'aile nord-ouest et la chapelle est transformée. Le mur de l'autel est orné de peintures murales du 17e ou 18e siècle.
