Château de Champ-de-Bataille stands in Sainte-Opportune-du-Bosc (Eure), in the Normandie region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: second half of the 17th century, 18th century). Built between 1653 and 1665 for Count Alexandre de Créquy, exiled after the Fronde uprising, this château in the Eure combines brick and stone around a main courtyard closed off by stables. The interiors, largely recreated from 1992 onward by decorator Jacques Garcia, hold a collection of furniture and objects of royal provenance recognised by the Michelin guide. The park, laid out in the late 17th century and later reshaped, has likewise been restored in a 17th century spirit and opens onto long garden vistas.
