To make a day of it

Château d'Omonville stands in Le Tremblay-Omonville (Eure), in the Normandie region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: second half of the 18th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

The château d'Omonville stands in the commune of Le Tremblay-Omonville, in the Eure department, set apart from the village church. Built from 1754 onward for an ironmaster by an architect from Conches, the building only gained its left wing during the Restoration period. The estate, now owned by the Rosicrucian Order, once welcomed the composer Francis Poulenc, whose brother-in-law had restored the French-style flower beds. The façades, roofs, gardener's pavilion, stables and park with its gates are protected as a historic monument.
