The château de Canabazès stands in Lacaussade, in the Lot-et-Garonne department, a sixteenth century building that has kept its fortified enclosure almost intact, a rare feature among the small Agenais châteaux of that period. The Lustrac family lived there for four centuries, through the Revolution, emigration and a period when the estate belonged to the Legion of Honour before returning to the family in 1811. Visitors can see the main building, its towers and a south facade added in the nineteenth century in front of the older one, along with traces of a wing that once closed off the courtyard.
