Unique vestige de l'habitation d'un légat italien dans les terres de la généralité d'Aquitaine, ayant laissé des ouvrages décrivant la résidence et le pays. Le village actuel est établi sur les terrasses qui formaient autrefois les jardins de cette résidence. Le bâtiment présente une tour hexagonale et les bâtiments qui formaient autrefois la chapelle du château aujourd'hui détruit.
