The château de Bagnac stands in Saint-Bonnet-de-Bellac, in the Haute-Vienne department, on the site of a medieval fortress of which only a corner tower survives. The present building, raised in the troubadour style during the third quarter of the 19th century, draws on Gothic references and includes a chapel modelled on the Sainte-Chapelle in Paris. Now abandoned and deteriorating, it still retains notable features such as carved fireplaces and a tower known as "la guette". The site has been listed as a historic monument since 1975.
