Manoir des Comtes stands in Confolens (Charente), in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 15th century, 16th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
In Confolens, in the Charente region, this 15th century manor house was built by the town's lords after they abandoned their ruined medieval castle. Three separate wings are arranged around an inner courtyard with a well, one of them containing a ribbed vaulted chapel, another pierced by a Renaissance doorway with pilasters carved with lozenges and acanthus leaves. The last wing stands out for its postern carved with the arms of the lords of Confolens and its three-arched gallery. The building now houses guest rooms and a shop.
