What the French Ministry of Culture records

Construit entre la fin du 15e et le début du 16e siècle, le château remplace une première résidence (fin du 14e siècle) dont quelques vestiges ont été intégrés à la nouvelle construction. L'édifice conserve un ensemble résidentiel complet avec le logis principal et le logis secondaire, tous deux défendus par une barbacane dotée d'une tour porte. Subsistent également une grange et les vestiges d'un bâtiment à la fonction indéterminée. Cet ensemble était défendu par une enceinte. A la fin du 19e siècle, des restaurations de style néogothiques sont réalisées par l'architecte Sainte-Marie-Perrin. Le premier étage du logis conserve une peinture murale.
