What the French Ministry of Culture records

La seigneurie apparaît au 14e siècle. Le droit d'édifier une maison forte est donné en 1348. Il ne subsiste rien de l'édifice méidéval. La tour ronde est le vestige d'une maison forte du 16e siècle, remplacée vers la fin du 17e siècle, par un corps de logis sans étage encadré de deux pavillons. L'essentiel des communs paraît remonter au 18e siècle. Au 19e siècle, le logis est exhaussé d'un étage et l'intérieur remanié. Le château consiste en un ensemble de bâtiments organisés autour d'une cour rectangulaire. A l'est s'étend le corps de logis flanqué à ses extrémités de deux pavillons plus élevés. La façade ouest du logis est encadrée par deux ailes perpendiculaires de dépendances qui abritaient autrefois les logements du personnel et des paysans, les remises, granges, chais et celliers. Une grille ferme le quatrième côté de la cour. A l'extrémité de la dépendance sud subsiste une tour ronde possédant une cave voûtée et des embrasures de tir. L'intérieur du logis comporte, au rez-de-chaussée, des pièces à décor néo-classique.
