What the French Ministry of Culture records

Les plans de cet édifice, construit de 1660 à 1663 par Armand Jean de Peyré, ont parfois été attribués à Mansart. Armand de Peyré a été immortalisé dans la fiction romanesque d'Alexandre Dumans sous le nom de M. de Tréville. Le château présente sur sa façade Est, un corps de logis central en retrait sur deux pavillons latéraux. Il n'y a pas de décrochement sur la façade ouest. La plupart des fenêtres sont à meneaux avec des encadrements de marbre gris et alternativement surmontés de fronton circulaire ou triangulaire.
