The Château d'Amou stands just above the village in the Landes that shares its name, built at the end of the 17th century for the marquis de Caupenne. Its classical architecture, marked by tall mullioned windows and a Mansard roof, still carries traces of the earlier Louis XIII style. Inside, visitors can see period decoration, a staircase and a salon lined with fluted pilasters, along with a 4th-century Gallo-Roman mosaic set into the entrance hall in the early 20th century. The entrance gate itself was brought from a nearby abbey and reassembled here in the 19th century.
