What the French Ministry of Culture records

La seigneurie d'Alluyes était, au Moyen-Age, la première des cinq baronnies du Perche-Gouêt. Le donjon date du 12e siècle. Entre la porte fortifiée et le donjon s'élève l'ancienne chapelle Saint-Nicolas terminée par une abside hémi-circulaire. Elle était primitivement éclairée de quatre fenêtres plein cintre. Une large porte charretière a été percée dans le mur ouest lors de la transformation de la chapelle en grange. La charpente fut refaite à la fin du 15e et au début du 16e siècle. La chapelle reçut une voûte en bardeaux sur lequel furent exécutées des peintures.
