Château d'Aléry stands in Cran-Gevrier (Haute-Savoie), in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: Middle Ages, 16th century, 20th century). No visits are on record for this building.
Standing on the hill of Gevrier above Annecy, the Château d'Aléry preserves the remains of a manor house from the 15th and 16th centuries, built upon an older medieval core. Visitors can see a pointed-arch gateway, an inner courtyard flanked by a polygonal stair tower, mullioned windows and fireplaces bearing coats of arms. Owned by the town of Annecy since 2020, the site bears the mark of the many noble Savoyard families who held it over nearly seven centuries.
