Rebuilt in the late 19th century on the foundations of a 16th century manor, the building was destroyed during the First World War, as the village lay at the heart of the fighting. What can be seen today is this gateway decorated with hunting figures, the entrance gates damaged by the war, and the moats that still trace the outline of the former estate.
