Motte féodale de Toutencourt stands in Toutencourt (Somme), in the Hauts-de-France region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: Middle Ages). No visits are on record for this building.
At Toutencourt, in the Somme, a feudal mound preserves the remains of a vanished castle, built between the 11th and 12th centuries and occupied until the late 17th century. The surrounding ditches are still visible, and excavations carried out in 2009 and 2010 uncovered a tower, a curtain wall, vaulted cellars and a water channel system, all built in sandstone. The site appeals both to those interested in medieval archaeology and to walkers curious about a landscape shaped by eight centuries of occupation.
