In Dardilly, north of the Lyon metropolitan area, the Parsonge manor is a former fortified house built at the end of the 16th century, once owned by the Villars family. Its main building is marked by ground-floor arcades topped by two galleries with columns, and its gateway still bears a carved coat of arms with the inscription A PARSONGE. Inside, a disused chapel occupies the upper floor, surrounded by the estate's farm buildings, a barn, a shed and a wash house.
