The château de Sandar is a former fortified manor house dating from the 15th and 16th centuries, standing in Limonest above the Sablière valley southwest of Lyon. Its square keep with corner turrets and its 19th century neo-gothic chapel reflect the successive building phases of the estate. The site now houses a private school, the Institut Sandar, which limits public access to the historic buildings.
