To make a day of it

Manoir de la Faucherie stands in Le Mesnillard (Manche), in the Normandie region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 16th century, 19th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.

The Manoir de la Faucherie stands west of the village of Le Mesnillard in the Manche department, on land long held by the Cordon de la Faucherie family and later by the Robillard de Beaurepaire family. Built in the 15th and 16th centuries and altered in the 19th, it still has a square tower at the rear, a timber-framed turret and a balcony added during those later works. The original moat has been replaced by gardens with a tree-lined avenue. The manor remains a private residence and can only be seen from outside.
