In Le Châtellier, in Ille-et-Vilaine, the Château de la Vieuville combines a 19th century main building with the remains of an older manor dating from the 16th and 17th centuries. The residence, flanked by two round towers, stands within a landscaped park reworked in the previous century, complete with ponds and hydraulic features. Inside, several elements from the old manor were reused, including a bedroom with 17th century decor. The estate is now given over to private events and is not open for standard visits.
