The Château du Bois-Guy stands in Parigné, in Ille-et-Vilaine, on an estate first recorded in the 15th century. The current building, raised in the 17th century with its four corner towers and granite stair turret, belonged to the Picquet du Bois-Guy family, one of whom, a royalist chouan leader, used it as a base during the Revolution. A 15th-century chapel dedicated to Saint Martin, housing an old retable, adjoins the main house. Left derelict for decades, the property was restored from the 1990s onward and now combines its historic buildings with modern uses.
