The building as it stands today dates mainly from the mid 16th century, with a north tower added in the 19th century to mirror the older one. Notable features include the carved entrance door, with its multiple sculpted arches topped by an ogee arch and pinnacles, and the Renaissance stone-mullioned dormer windows in the roof.
