The manor of Kervézec stands in Garlan, in Finistère, at the end of an avenue lined with meadows that still gives it the look of a small fortified house. Dated to 1568, it is thought to have been built by the Morlaix architect Michel Le Borgne, before being heavily altered in the late 19th century by Pol Potier de Courcy, author of the armorial of Brittany. The entrance gate with machicolations and a gallery with embrasures remain, traces of its defensive appearance, along with an interior décor dating from that later period. The estate stayed in the hands of the same families for nearly four centuries, from the Guillotou de Kerduff to the Abrial, before being sold in 1979.
