Bronnbach Abbey stands on the banks of the Tauber near Wertheim, on a site founded in the mid 12th century. The complex still includes its church consecrated in 1222, a medieval cloister and conventual buildings largely reshaped during the Baroque period. Visitors can also see an orangery decorated with allegorical depictions of the seasons and continents, along with an abbey garden. Owned by the Main-Tauber-Kreis since 1986, the site now combines a shop and a wine cellar with the historic areas open to visitors.
