The Wasserschloss Oppenweiler stands on the larger of two islands in a lake fed by a branch of the Rohrbach, close to the river Murr and the old village centre. Built in the late 18th century in a classical style on the site of an earlier moated manor, it is laid out as an irregular octagon topped with a belvedere. A stone bridge connects it to the outbuildings on the shore, and a landscape park designed by Friedrich Ludwig von Sckell surrounds the lake. The building now houses the town hall of Oppenweiler.
