The Wasserschloss Kürnbach stands at the eastern edge of the village of Kürnbach, in the Kraichgau region. The present building grew out of a moated medieval stronghold first recorded in 1354, whose early Gothic foundations still support half timbered upper floors added in the 16th and 17th centuries. Visitors can appreciate the exterior of this nearly square complex built around a small inner courtyard, a structure that reflects the gradual transformation from fortified castle to residence.
