Burg Sternenfels once crowned the 375 metre Schlossberg above the village that bears its name. Built of white sandstone by the lords of Sternenfels in the early 13th century, it later passed to the Liebenstein family and was then pledged to Württemberg, before being torn down in the late 18th century. Only an earthen rampart and a ditch remain today, and the hill is now marked by a modern lookout tower offering views over the Stromberg and Heuchelberg hills.
