Schloss Höfingen stands in Leonberg, in the Landkreis Böblingen, in Baden-Württemberg, on the site of a medieval stronghold destroyed in 1395. The present building, erected in 1582 over the remains of that earlier fortress, combines two solid stone lower floors with a timber-framed upper storey beneath a gabled roof stepped at its southern end. A crenellated terrace and small tower, added during nineteenth-century alterations, mark the south facade, while a stone stair tower with a spiral staircase rises on the courtyard side. The building now houses a hotel and restaurant, so access for outsiders is generally limited to its exterior.
