Bärenschlössle stands in Stuttgart (Stuttgart), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
The Bärenschlössle is a hunting lodge in Stuttgart's Rotwildpark, by the shore of the Bärensee. Originally built as a pleasure pavilion for Duke Carl Eugen in 1768, it has been rebuilt several times over the centuries, most recently after a fire in 1994. The current building, reconstructed close to its earlier appearance, now houses a restaurant and event venue within a protected forest setting.
What to know
- The current building dates from the reconstruction completed in 1997, following a fire in 1994.
- It stands within a protected nature reserve, which limits certain uses of the site.
- There is no monument to tour as such; the pavilion now houses a restaurant.
- Two bronze bear statues from 1964 stand near the building.
- Access is on foot through the Rotwildpark, by the Bärensee in Stuttgart.
