Schloss Rosenstein stands in Bad Cannstatt (Stuttgart), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Recorded dating: 19th century. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Rosenstein stands at Bad Cannstatt, on a rise above the Neckar valley, at the edge of a large landscaped park. Built in neoclassical style by the architect Giovanni Salucci for King Wilhelm I of Württemberg, it was intended as a summer residence but was never permanently occupied. Largely destroyed during the war and rebuilt in the 1950s, the palace now houses the biological collections of the Stuttgart State Museum of Natural History. Among the surviving original interior features is the four-seasons frieze by Conrad Weitbrecht.
