Neues Schloss Stuttgart stands in Stuttgart (Stuttgart), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Recorded dating: 18th century. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
The Neues Schloss stands on Stuttgart's Schlossplatz, right in the heart of the city, and served as residence for the dukes and later kings of Württemberg. Its three baroque wings took more than sixty years to complete, from 1746 into the early 19th century, under a succession of architects including Leopoldo Retti and Philippe de La Guêpière. Badly damaged in 1944, the building was rebuilt after the war and now houses state government ministries along with parts of the Landesmuseum Württemberg collections. The grand staircase, the Marble Hall and the White Hall rank among its most notable interior spaces.
