Schloss Ettlingen stands in Ettlingen (Landkreis Karlsruhe), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
In the heart of Ettlingen stands a baroque palace built over the remains of a Renaissance residence destroyed by French troops in 1689. Margravine Augusta Sibylla, widow of Margrave Ludwig Wilhelm, had the palace rebuilt from 1727 onward as her retirement home. Its chapel, painted by Cosmas Damian Asam, holds the only frescoes by this artist still surviving in the Upper Rhine region. The building now houses a museum devoted to local history, archaeology and regional art.
