To make a day of it

Turmhügel Weiher stands in Ubstadt-Weiher (Landkreis Karlsruhe), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. No visits are on record for this building.

The Turmhügel Weiher is a former motte castle, now vanished, of which only an earthen mound and traces of ditches remain at the edge of the village of Weiher. Built around 1200 by the lords of Weiher, it passed to the bishopric of Speyer in 1282 and fell into ruin during the 15th century. What survives today is a near circular mound roughly three metres high, with no standing walls, making this more an archaeological site than a conventional castle visit.
