Schloss Reinhardtsgrimma stands in the village of the same name, now part of the town of Glashütte in Saxony. Built between 1765 and 1767 on the site of a medieval moated castle first recorded in 1206, it reflects the late Baroque style commissioned by the Saxon court councillor Johann Christoph Lippold, with plans drawn up by the architect Johann Friedrich Knöbel. The surrounding park, redesigned in the early 19th century as an English-style landscape garden with a classicist bathhouse, forms part of the estate. The schloss passed through several owning families before becoming an agricultural school after 1945, and its Baroque festival hall is still used today for concerts and weddings.
