Schloss Mansfeld stands in Mansfeld (Landkreis Mansfeld-Südharz), in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Adult admission costs 1 EUR. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Mansfeld overlooks the town of Mansfeld, in the Landkreis Mansfeld-Südharz, in Saxony-Anhalt, from a wooded rocky hill. The complex brings together the ruins of a formidable fortress, the remains of three Renaissance residences built by the counts of Mansfeld, and a castle church that has survived intact. Demolished in 1674/75 by order of the Saxon authorities, the fortress is now largely ruined, while one of the three palaces, remodelled in neo-Gothic style in the 19th century, retains a more complete appearance. The site currently serves as a Christian youth education and conference centre, which shapes what visitors can access.
